Macbooks, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini with M1 CPU can only support a maximum resolution of 4K@60Hz for external displays. Some 8K TVs/Monitors may need a firmware update for 4K@120Hz and 8K support. Manual enabling is required for 4K@120Hz and 8K support on certain 8K TVs/Monitors.
