You should check the details of the specific Micro SD card you intend to buy because device compatibility varies with each Micro SD card. Specific Micro SD cards will be compatible with specific devices. However, you can generally expect that a Micro SD card from one of the leading brands will be compatible with most modern devices. For high-performance devices such as professional cameras, we suggest going with higher-end Micro SD cards which suit the requirements of those devices better.

A GoPro camera is a high-performance device that requires a lot of operating power. Using higher-end and higher-capacity Micro SD cards from established brands can guarantee maximum performance for your GoPro camera. A Micro SD card from either SanDisk or Lexar and with at least 32GB of storage would be suitable for a GoPro camera.

A Micro SDXC card is best for the Nintendo Switch. If you mainly play cartridge-based games, a 64GB Micro SDXC card is recommended. If you mainly play games downloaded from the Nintendo eShop, you will likely need a Micro SDXC card with higher storage capacity of at least 200GB.

A Micro SD card offers a smaller storage format and is about a fourth of the size of an SD card. A Micro SD is suitable for portable devices such as phones and tablets. It usually comes with a full-sized SD card adapter for devices that accept traditional SD cards.

Remove the Micro SD card from your device, restart the device, and then carefully reinsert the Micro SD card. You need to ensure that you’re inserting the Micro SD card correctly. If the Micro SD card still isn’t working with your device, try inserting it into another device. If the Micro SD card also doesn’t work with the other device, then it may be damaged. If the Micro SD card works with the other device, then it’s possible that it isn’t compatible with that particular device. The advertised storage of the Micro SD card is its storage capacity in unformatted, raw form. But when the Micro SD card is formatted, a little bit of its raw storage capacity is used up in the process. Therefore, the formatted card capacity (or actual storage) is less than the unformatted capacity usually advertised on the Micro SD card’s packaging. The same also applies to SD cards.
